Sorry for the confusion that I created.
I am not a specialist either; I just recalled my experience with my NEXUS 5X I had acquired
on eBay to flash a Google-free OS. There, to become root, I had to follow a procedure
where the touch-screen was indispensable.
I suppose you have to be root to dig down to the directories where personal data are
stored. If someone knows another way, all the better...
